A look at Multi-Sport Vs. Early Specialization in Sport

There has always been a debate about early specialization versus multi-sport. JJ Adams from the Vancouver Sun takes a look at the different tracks student athletes have taken and the effects of these decisions.

From declining sports participation, to burn out or injury - most college coaches prefer to have cross-sport students on their team.

This isn't a new phenomenon - this has been discussed as early as 2005, however with the massive marketing budgets in youth sports - parents seem to bury their head in the sand.
